Therapy That Helps You Find Meaning in the Mess

Therapy isn’t just about fixing what’s broken—it’s about finding meaning.

As a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in Maryland, I work with individuals and couples on trauma, attachment wounds, and relational challenges, recognizing that many are grappling with the timeless question:

How do I make this life whole?

A Relational and Creative Approach

I bring a deeply relational style to therapy, along with a love of psychological theory.

Think less “ivory tower” and more me pulling dusty books off my shelves because I read something quirky and profound that just might help.

At the core of my work, I draw most from approaches that uncover meaning, purpose, and connection:

  • Meaning-based approaches: Sitting with trauma survivors has shown me how vital it is to uncover purpose and direction amid pain.

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): This approach plays a central role in my work, focusing on emotions as the driver of behavior and offering a transformative way to nurture connection.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS): IFS helps clients explore and heal the complex internal dynamics that shape their relationships with themselves and others.

  • Somatic and Mindfulness-Based Practices: To help clients find grounding and clarity in the present moment.

A Bit About Me

When I’m not in session, you can usually find me surrounded by my family, debating the physics of a design with my metal-sculpting partner, or meticulously planning a trip that may or may not involve an overly ambitious itinerary.

Therapy is serious work, but life is full of humor, too—both tend to show up in my sessions.
